Rerun is a graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Atelier of Fine Art, and the knowledge of art history, as well as the highly refined fine art skill, is there to see in his artwork. Outside of academic training, art of all kinds has been a passion for Rerun since he was little. He has been painting, drawing, making posters, and experimenting with graffiti tags for as long as he can remember. It is the time he has spend expressing himself across all these different methods which means that he has now created his own visual language. What seems to the outside viewer like an impossibly intricate and complicated combination of images, textures, colours and signs is a form of artistic expression that now comes second nature to Rerun.

One minute Rerun might be spray painting a tag, the next minute he might be painting fine details with brush and panel. He moves between different projects and different methods in his studio and this without a doubt feeds into the sense of vitality and energy in the work. Through all this multiplication of methods is an idea at the core, which is to attempt to make meaning out of the rush of images which each person is bombarded with in daily life. In this way, Rerun's project offers an uplifting alternative to the at times scary level of media saturation of the present day. In Rerun's artistic world, there is still an mass of images brought together. But these images come together not to distract or distort, but instead to celebrate meaning and beauty.
