Duncan Palmer was born in 1964 in Hampshire and has had a passion for art ever since school. He sold some of his first paintings in order to pay for driving lessons and has continued to paint ever since. Palmer is inspired by the works of Turner with his striking use of colour and light, as well as the Newlyn School of artists who were united by a desire to paint 'en plein air', capturing natural light and everyday life.
